Mediterranean crossroad. A series of debates across the Mediterranean Sea, from Messina to Sfax

A team of researchers of the Universities of Genoa and Parma will carry out an ethnographic journey across the Tunisian coast. On board the sailing boat Tanimar, they will crisscross the key places of migratory mobility and the transformations of the Mediterranean Sea.

Their journey will start in Messina where, on September 30 and October 1, they will join “Crocevia Mediterraneo”: a two days of debates, screenings and readings based on the idea of the Mediterranean Sea as a crossroads. Within the same framework, in Sfax, on October 9 and 10, they will animate the events which constitute “Crocevia Mediterrraneo” Sfax.

All the “Crocevia Mediterraneo” events have been made possible by the precious work of Mesogea publishing, and the association Pontes Ricerche e Interventi, a non-governmental organisation, part of the transnational civil society network, operating between Italy and Tunisia.

We thank the colleagues from the University of Sfax for joining the programme of “Crocevia Mediterraneo Sfax”, and for welcoming us in Tunisia.
